CHSE Admission
CHSE stands for Centre for Higher Secondary Education. It is a government school only for A’ level students. It was introduced on 3rd July 1979 to provide higher education to students so that they can continue their studies in India or abroad, if they want. The school started with only 47 students and 4 teachers. Centre for Higher Secondary Education provides Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) as options. Announcement of admission is made through the media each year after the Cambridge O/L results are out. The application forms are published after the original result slips of GCE O/L, IGCSE and SSC are produced. Application form should be returned within the allocated period, along with the necessitated documents.

Candidates must have got ā€œCā€ grade or above in 8 subjects at SSC, GCE O/Level and IGCSE exams directed in or after the Year 2009. The 8 passes applicants must include the four mandatory disciplines namely Dhivehi, Islam, English and Mathematics. Overlapping subjects such as Biology and Human Biology would be considered as one discipline when calculating the total.
