CDRI Delhi (Central Drug Research Institute) is one of the 1st and few laboratories that were founded in the country right after its independence. CDRI administratively works under the council of scientific and Industrial Research of India which has it’s central office at New Delhi. CDRI is among the 38 laboratories that are working under the aegis of the council of scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India led through the Prime Minister of the country as its president. CDRI was formally started on 17/02/1951 through the then PM of the country, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.
