Employees State Insurance Act 1948

The ESIC, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation Act, 1948 conceived of an integrated need based social insurance scheme that would protect the interest of workers in contingences like: maternity, sickness, temporary or permanent physical disablement, death due to employment injury leading in loss of wages or making capacity. ESIC 1948 Act to offer for certain benefits to employees in case of sickness, maternity and employment injury and to create provision for certain other matters in relation thereto. ESIC Scheme of India is a multidimensional social system oriented to offer socio-economic protection to worker population and their dependants covered under the scheme. Therefore, to insure smooth and directly run of benefits, an attempt has been created in the following paragraphs about the process to be pursued by the ESI beneficiaries for claiming the benefits as and when the need develops.

CSIR will take the Joint CSIr-UGC Test 20th June, 2010 for finding the qualification of the Indian national candidates for the grant of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for finding qualification for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in relevant subject fields coming under the faculty of Science. The awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful desirable candidates will depend on their finding admission placement in a university/national laboratory/institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.

The candidates announced desirable for Junior Research Fellowship under UGC scheme will be regulated by UGC rules/regulations in this regard. A candidate should have atleast 55% marks in MSc. or an equivalent examination. Those in the final year may also apply but will have to present tentative certificate at the time of counselling.
